THE TITANBEACH TITANIUM SANDS PROJECT.

Deck

The TitanBeach Titanium Sands Project is a premier mineral exploration and development initiative focused on Morocco’s Atlantic coastline, home to substantial deposits of iron-titanium sands. Covering 10 exploration licenses spanning 160 km² of highly prospective ground, the project is strategically positioned to meet the growing global demand for titanium dioxide (TiO₂), critical minerals recognized for their unique properties, including high strength, lightweight, and exceptional corrosion resistance. With its stable political climate and investor-friendly regulatory environment, Morocco offers an ideal setting for sustainable mineral extraction and long-term investment. The TitanBeach project is poised to play a crucial role in supplying the strategic titanium market, supporting key industries such as aerospace, defense, and medical technology.

The Advantage of Morocco

Morocco stands out as an exceptional destination for mineral development thanks to its mining-friendly environment and robust infrastructure. The country boasts a politically stable and pro-business government, with a regulatory framework that actively supports foreign investment in the mining sector. This legal stability, coupled with well-established mining laws and policies, creates a secure foundation for long-term operations.

Strategically positioned at the crossroads of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, Morocco offers unparalleled access to international markets and a wide array of potential customers and partners. Its modern ports—such as Casablanca, Tangiers, and Agadir—provide world-class export infrastructure, enabling efficient shipment of minerals to Europe, North America, and beyond.

The country’s transportation networks are highly developed, including modern roads, highways, and rail systems that facilitate the movement of materials and personnel within Morocco and to global markets. Reliable energy supplies, supported by Morocco’s ambitious renewable energy initiatives in solar and wind, further enhance the project’s competitiveness by offering cost-effective and sustainable power solutions.

Geologically, Morocco is endowed with significant reserves of titanium and other valuable minerals, reinforcing its status as an attractive and strategic mining jurisdiction. Combined, these advantages make Morocco the ideal home for the TitanBeach Titanium Sands Project, ensuring both operational success and long-term value creation.

Strategic Location

The TitanBeach Titanium Sands Project is strategically situated 380 kilometers southwest of Agadir, near Chbika, and directly along Morocco’s Atlantic coast. This region—known as the Laâouina-Cape Juby coastline—is recognized for its significant iron-titanium placer deposits, formed over millennia through the accumulation of heavy minerals like ilmenite. These minerals are eroded from inland areas, transported by littoral drift, and naturally concentrated in coastal zones, creating an abundant and accessible resource base.

Access & Transportation

The project benefits from excellent road connectivity via a modern two-lane national highway (Route Nationale) that links Chbika to Agadir and Casablanca, facilitating smooth transportation of personnel, equipment, and materials.

Port Infrastructure

  • Primary Port: Agadir Port
Agadir Port is a fully equipped bulk and container shipping facility that handles both standard containerized cargo and bulk shipments. Its proximity makes it the ideal gateway for rutile exports to key markets in Europe, North America, and Asia.

  • Alternative Port: Casablanca Port
Casablanca Port serves as a major international hub with additional capacity, providing flexibility for larger export volumes and accommodating global shipping contracts. It offers seamless access to Europe, West Africa, and the Americas, reinforcing Morocco’s role as a regional logistics hub.

The Importance of Titanium

Titanium is classified as a critical mineral by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and other leading global agencies, highlighting its strategic significance across multiple industries. This unique mineral underpins technological advancements and is essential for national security, modern healthcare, and consumer goods.

Key Applications

  • Aerospace: Titanium’s exceptional strength-to-weight ratio makes it indispensable for aircraft and spacecraft components.

  • Defense: Utilized in armor, naval vessels, and missile structures, titanium enhances both performance and durability.

  • Medical Industry: Its biocompatibility is crucial for implants, prosthetics, and surgical tools, driving innovation in medical technology.

  • Consumer Goods & Pigments: Titanium dioxide (TiO₂) is a key ingredient in paints, coatings, and plastics, providing brightness, opacity, and durability.

Market Growth

With increasing industrial applications and expanding technological needs, the global titanium market is projected to grow at a robust CAGR of 6.2%. This sustained growth underscores titanium’s role as a lucrative and future-facing investment, reinforcing the strategic value of the TitanBeach Titanium Sands Project.

Mining and Processing

Mining and Processing is extremely simple with this industrial sand. The mining method is load and haul with a 30 ton Excavator and a fleet of 3 trucks to a processing plant to be constructed nearby. Concentration works through magnetic separation for the magnetite and Gravimetric separation via spirals and shaking-tables for the Rutile. It is envisioned to develop the operation from a 15.000 ton per month to over 30.000 ton ore production.

Modular Design

Thanks to its modular design, the project can easily and efficiently scale up production as demand grows.

Global Market Demand

The TitanBeach Titanium Sands Project is well-positioned to capitalize on robust market demand for both magnetite and high-purity titanium dioxide (TiO₂).

Magnetite

Currently priced at approximately $30 per tonne, magnetite is an essential feedstock for Morocco’s active domestic steel sector. Smelters and cement plants in the region regularly source magnetite for blending and steel production. This local demand creates a strong foundation for long-term offtake agreements with Moroccan steel producers seeking stable, cost-effective supply.

Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂)

High-purity titanium dioxide (95%+ purity) commands a price of around $1,500 per tonne in today’s market. Notably, the price of TiO₂ has more than doubled over the past eight years, driven by its essential role in a range of high-value applications:

  • Titanium dioxide pigments (used in paints, coatings, and plastics)

  • Welding rods (due to TiO₂’s unique properties and high melting point)

  • Aerospace and defense alloys (lightweight, high-strength materials)

Strong prepaid interest is emerging for capital expenditure, signaling confidence in the project’s ability to deliver premium-grade titanium products.

Offtake Potential

Given Morocco’s strategic location, short shipping routes, and stable supply chain, the TitanBeach project is expected to attract significant offtake interest from European and North American manufacturers. This geographic advantage enhances the project’s attractiveness to global markets, ensuring consistent demand for its high-value mineral products.
